Indian basketball player Geethu Anna Jose shooting hoops in Chennai on 4/21/2011.
www.geethuannajose.co.nr is the top female basketball player in India. She came to the residence of the US Consul General in Chennai on the afternoon of Thursday 4/21/2011 for a press event to discuss her upcoming visit to the USA. The www.wnba.com had invited her to tryouts with the teams in Chicago, LA, and San Antonio. In addition to meeting Geethu (hard G + two) I also got to meet her coach who is coach of the Indian men’s national team and is married to the coach of the women’s Indian national team. And those two coaches were the captains of their Indian national teams in their playing days.
Of course CarMah was here in San Antonio, have to show love for Women’s Basketball because we just don’t get that much love compared to the men’s game! There was a bunch of talent in class of 10′ so be on the look out!
